Directions: Ski down the Riffelalp run (39) from Riffelberg to Furi. The restaurant is on the right of the piste just below the Riffelalp hotel.
Non skiers: Take the Gornergratbahn (GGB) mountain railway, alight at Riffelalp station, and from there it is a 10 minute level walk. The journey from Zermatt to Gornergrat or reverse can be broken at Riffelalp station, with the train ticket remaining valid for the rest of the trip. For the stopping service board at the last carriage of the train.

Italian and local specialities including Rösti and Kasesnitte Hawaii (see pictures, right). The spaghetti carbonara is very good but large. Salads and rösti also very good.

From the restaurant's website:
"This mountain inn offers genuine local specialties in different rooms. Open from 09:00 to 17:00, warm food from 11:00 to 16:00. Group arrangements can be made by advance request."

Food: Specialities include homemade pasta and a large cake buffet.
Service: When we visited service was reasonably efficient.
Gluhwein: Not rated.
