Davos/Klosters - Mountain Restaurant Guide

Davos is the highest town in Europe at an altitude of 1,560m. This almost guarantees good snow conditions throughout the season. There are five ski areas with more than 300km of runs and 75km of cross-country tracks. Davos caters well for non-skiers too, there are 97km of walking paths open in the winter.

Parsenn is the main ski area and is accessible from both Davos and Klosters. It has pistes to suit all levels of skiing ability. The longest downhill run is on Parsenn, from the top of the Weissfluh to Küblis (12 km). Night-time skiing is available every Friday.

Jakobshorn is the easiest area to reach from Davos Platz, with the Jakobshornbahn located behind the main railway station. There are several cosy mountain restaurants and a variety of pistes for a full day's skiing.

Madrisa, Pischa and Rinerhorn are smaller, family-friendly areas. Rinerhorn is a good choice on days where visibility is poor as it is mostly below the tree line. It also has a popular toboggan run, which is a separate track starting at the top of the bubble. Pischa has three runs which are marked and protected from Alpine risks but are unprepared.
